June rounded off with a proud moment as LonGBoaT Wakefield featured prominently in the local press for our efforts in promoting LGBTQ+ inclusivity and community engagement through the art and volunteering we are undertaking at Wakefield Kirkgate Railway Station.

Our team had a fantastic day at New College Pontefract, making connections and collaboration with students eager to support our mission. We were asking how the students wanted to interact with the LGBTQ+ community and how a young persons support group looked!

In a month dedicated to Pride, LonGBoaT Wakefield celebrated inclusivity with our "Pride Inside" initiative, bringing the spirit of Pride to our community inside HMP Wakefield.

A vibrant celebration of voice, visibility, and belonging, our Community Pride Fringe 2025 promises to be a highlight of the summer. Keep your eyes pealed on our socials and our website for much more information as its released.

Calling all artists! Join us in creating a mural at Wakefield Kirkgate Railway Station, celebrating community unity and inclusivity. Deadline is the 7th June so get your creativity on quickly!

We have teamed up with Retro Logo who have created an inspiring pride range with the profits donated to LonGBoaT Wakefield. Check out their shop here!
Throughout June, LonGBoaT Wakefield reflected on the themes of resistance and resilience within our local LGBTQ+ community, highlighting the power of grassroots activism and solidarity.
