
Welcome to our initiative to improve Wakefield Kirkgate Railway Station! Since adopting the station in June 2024, LonGBoaT Wakefield has been collaborating with Northern, Grand Central, Network Rail, Groundwork Yorkshire, and other key stakeholders to bring our vision to life.

Our mission is to transform the station into a vibrant community space that reflects Wakefield’s unique history and spirit. With 50 exciting ideas and projects in the pipeline, we’re determined to create a station that our community can be proud of, even if it takes us 10 years​
