How to find us
​​​Our Wakefield Hub can be found in the Station Masters House; located to the extreme right hand side of the main station building, (if looking from the road).
An intercom system can be found on the right hand side of the door - top button.
If specified in advance that you will be required to meet in an alternative part of the building:
Main Atrium: Use the door to the left of the platform entrance (if looking from the road) underneath the front canopy.
Board Room: Use the door to the extreme left of the building (if looking from the road) closest to the car park.

Visiting by Car
Depending on the time of your visit, we might not be able to offer free car parking.
The railway station car park managed by Northern Railway is available to use.
There is a charge for this via RingGo cashless parking currently priced at £1 for 1h or £2 for all day.
There is no facility at the station for charging electric vehicles.

Visiting by Bike
8 bike storage racks are placed between the car park and the station building.
4 of which are covered and 4 of which are uncovered.
Unlike other stations there are no facilities for charging, repairing or maintaining your bike

Visiting by Train
Services into Wakefield Kirkgate are operated by Northern, Transpennine Express and Grand Central.
Services into Wakefield Westgate are operated by Northern, Cross Country and LNER.
The walking time from Wakefield Westgate is approximately 25 mins

Our nearest main bus stops are located on Doncaster Road: Kirkgate A and Kirkgate H.

​The Wakefield FreeCityBus operates a circular service around the city centre linking Wakefield Westgate Railway Station and the Bus Station with Wakefield Kirkgate Railway Station. See the map below for full route.
All journeys on the Wakefield freecitybus are free.
Each vehicle is fully accessible and can carry one wheelchair at a time.
The FreeCityBus will pick up / drop off directly outside Wakefield Kirkgate Railway Station at Stand K7.

Monday to Friday: 7.30am to 6.36pm with a 10-12 min frequency.
Saturdays: 8.30am and 5pm with a 10-12 min frequency.
Sunday: No Service
