If you’re a budding artist (or just love a good creative challenge), Northern has launched a fab opportunity to celebrate 200 years of railway history; and they want your take on it!
To mark Railway 200 (a nationwide celebration of the bicentenary of the modern railway) Northern Railway is inviting amateur artists of all ages to design a fresh, modern take on the iconic British Railways travel posters from the 1920s to 1950s.
Think bold colours, vintage charm and stunning destinations — from the Ribblehead Viaduct to Blackpool Tower or even the bridges of Newcastle. Your design could end up displayed at train stations across the North of England!

What They’re Looking For:
Striking artwork in the style of those classic posters
Scenes or destinations you can travel to by train in the North
A splash of originality and creativity!
Whether you're under 12, a teen between 12–17, or an adult 18+, there’s a category for you. So grab your pens, paints or tablets and get designing.
