Today, on Transgender Day of Remembrance, we pause to remember and honour the transgender and gender non-conforming people whose lives were tragically taken by violence this past year.

This day is an important moment to reflect on the ongoing struggles that transgender individuals face, including discrimination, harassment, and violence. It’s also a time to acknowledge the strength and resilience of the transgender community in the face of these challenges.

While we mourn the lives lost, we also stand together in solidarity, committing to a world where all people, regardless of their gender identity, are treated with dignity, respect, and love.

On this day, let’s not only remember those we’ve lost but also renew our commitment to creating safer, more inclusive spaces for transgender individuals everywhere.

You are seen. You are valued. You are loved.
