With just weeks to go until Wakefield Community Pride 2026, we'd like to say a heartfelt thank you to our Official Sponsors, whose support is helping us deliver another fantastic day of celebration, visibility and community.

As a volunteer led event organised by LonGBoaT Wakefield CIO, Wakefield Community Pride simply wouldn't be possible without organisations that share our commitment to inclusion and supporting the local LGBT+ community.
Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust

We are incredibly grateful to Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust for their continued support of Wakefield Community Pride 2026.
The Trust plays a vital role in providing healthcare across our district and continues to demonstrate its commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion for both patients and colleagues. Their support helps ensure that Wakefield Community Pride remains a welcoming space where everyone feels represented and valued.
Turning Point Talking Therapies
A huge thank you also goes to Turning Point Talking Therapies, who provide free NHS Talking Therapies for adults across the Wakefield district experiencing anxiety, depression, stress and other common mental health difficulties. Their service offers a range of evidence-based psychological therapies, making mental health support more accessible to local people.
Supporting Pride reflects their ongoing commitment to improving wellbeing and ensuring people can access support when they need it most.

"We're proud to be sponsoring Wakefield Pride and supporting a celebration of inclusion, equality and community
At Turning Point, we believe everyone deserves access to mental health support that is safe, welcoming and free from judgement. Through our local Talking Therapies service and national support services, we're committed to supporting LGBTQ+ communities and helping people thrive."
Unite the Union

We're also proud to have Unite the Union as an Official Sponsor of Wakefield Community Pride 2026. Unite have long been a suporter of LonGBoaT Wakefield and we couldn't be more proud to continue this union (puns intended).
Unite has a long-standing commitment to promoting equality and standing alongside LGBT+ workers and communities. Their support helps strengthen our event and demonstrates the importance of working together to create fairer, more inclusive communities.
Community Support Makes Community Pride Possible
Wakefield Community Pride is much more than a single day.
It is an opportunity for LGBT+ people, families, friends, allies, charities, businesses, public services and community groups to come together, celebrate diversity and showcase the fantastic support available across the Wakefield district.
The event will take place on:
📅 Sunday 9th August 2026
🕛 From 12 noon
📍 WX Wakefield Exchange
Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy live entertainment, community stalls, health and wellbeing organisations, family-friendly activities, local businesses and much more.
Thank You
To Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust, Turning Point Talking Therapies and Unite the Union. Thank you for believing in our vision and investing in our community.
Your support helps us create a free, welcoming and inclusive event where LGBT+ people can celebrate who they are, access local support services and connect with others in a positive and safe environment.
We look forward to welcoming everyone to Wakefield Community Pride 2026 on Sunday 9th August.
