The official launch event will take place on:

📍 The Hub, Wakefield Kirkgate Railway Station
This launch event will provide an opportunity to learn more about the Rainbow Project, meet representatives from Vico Homes and LonGBoaT Wakefield, and find out how the project aims to support LGBT+ people within our communities.
Partnerships like this are incredibly important. By working together, organisations can help create safer, more inclusive environments where LGBT+ people feel welcome, respected and able to access the support they need.
Vico Homes have partnered with Stonewall and become Stonewall Diversity Champions.
In September 2025 Vico Homes also achieved the Houseproud Pledge Pioneer status
in the LGBT+ Housing Pledge by HouseProud-LGBT and Stonewall Housing.
At LonGBoaT Wakefield, we know that community connections matter. Whether through our social events, coffee mornings, volunteering opportunities, Safe Space initiative, hate crime reporting services, or community projects, we see every day the positive impact that inclusive spaces can have on people's lives.
The launch of the Rainbow Project represents another positive step forward in ensuring LGBT+ people are visible, supported and celebrated within our district.
We would love to see members of the community, allies, partner organisations and local residents join us for the evening.
The event is free to attend and offers an opportunity to meet new people, learn more about the project and celebrate the start of this exciting partnership.
