Join us for a special edition of Queer Social on Thursday, 6th February 2025, where we are pleased to welcome the Hold It Up Collective for an engaging Wakefield Queer Histories Workshop.
What to Expect
As part of LGBT+ History Month, this session will explore the rich and diverse history of the local LGBT+ community. The Hold It Up Collective, a group of socially engaged queer artists based in Leeds, will facilitate an interactive workshop examining the past, present, and future of queer life in Wakefield.
This is an opportunity to learn more about local LGBT+ history, share experiences, and understand how history is still being shaped today.
This event forms part of an ongoing local history project hosted by Our House Wakefield and funded by a Wakefield Culture Grant. There is no need to book in advance—simply attend and take part.
