On the first Saturday of each month, we dedicate a day for volunteers and trustees to join together to improve Wakefield Kirkgate Railway Station.

About the event
This is a dedicated day to go around the station and record/report any issues. Clean the station, litter pick where required.
On some occasions we may be working alongside Rail staff from different networks to perform bigger tasks such as painting the station or surrounding fences.
What will be done on the day is subject to volunteer availability, health and safety and priority of task completion.
Our aim for having this dedicated day, is to ensure the upkeep of the station and maintain a welcoming and vibrant station for not only the local community, but for all those who visit or travel through Wakefield Kirkgate Station.
