About the event
NOVA have been in touch to see if LonGBoaT would be interested in getting involved in The Volunteer Trail with Wakefield College.
There are currently 15 organisations signed up, but they're hoping to reach 30 organisations so that they can give students a really diverse taste of what volunteering in Wakefield’s VCSE sector can look like.
The trail will give 16–18-year-old students the opportunity to visit different organisations and take part in a short taster session between 16–19 November 2026. It’s a chance for young people to try something new, meet people working and volunteering in the sector, and hopefully start to see volunteering , and potentially a future career within Wakefield’s VCSE sector as something that’s accessible and exciting.
We will be holding a 4 hour session in the board room to speak with young people about our volunteering opportunities and how volunteering helps communities come together and shape…
